In an article published on September 12, 2025 by La Nouvelle République, the newspaper highlights the exhibition of wildlife sculptor Pierre-Jean Chabert at the Maison des Arts et de la Jeunesse (MAJ) Art Gallery in Fondettes.
The artist presents a wild and powerful bestiary of thirty-four bronze and clay sculptures, exploring the raw essence of animal life, “between man and animal.”
“Animals go to the essential, they are pure, they do not have humanity’s flaws.”
A former actor turned sculptor, Pierre-Jean Chabert also shares his next challenge — creating a monumental bronze swallow, over two meters wide, to be installed in Montlouis-sur-Loire.
“The sculptor’s challenge is gravity,” he explains, reflecting his mastery of form, strength and balance.
