Published on April 26, 2025 by La Nouvelle République, this article by Jean-Marie Millasseau portrays two Touraine artists sharing both life and art: Sarah Scouarnec and Pierre-Jean Chabert.

Based in Amboise, the sculptor couple works side by side at La Morinerie in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps — a 340 m² multidisciplinary hub shared by over a hundred artists and craftsmen.

“We each have our own universe, but when in doubt, we share our views, even if it means accepting the other’s perspective.” — Pierre-Jean Chabert

Sarah Scouarnec’s terracotta and bronze sculptures explore gesture, emotion, and the human face.

“My favourite subjects are hands and faces — the parts that feel and express.”

Pierre-Jean Chabert continues to sculpt his wild animal figures in bronze, blending vitality, realism, and raw texture.

“I try to reproduce the living energy — saliva, fur, and tension — frozen yet alive.”

The article also mentions their joint exhibition at Galerie Victor-Hugo in Amboise, from May 17 to 20, 2025, symbolizing the harmony between their artistic and personal worlds.
