In an article published by La Nouvelle République on October 9, 2025, the newspaper highlighted the new monumental work by Touraine sculptor Pierre-Jean Chabert, installed on Place Simone-Veil in Montlouis-sur-Loire.
Unveiled on October 5, 2025, this bronze swallow sculpture, two meters wide and three meters tall, now adorns the Hauts de Montlouis neighborhood. According to the mayor,
“This work is a magnificent symbol of resistance and freedom, far beyond art and aesthetics. It will undoubtedly become the emblem of the Hauts de Montlouis.”
Visible from Olympe-de-Gouges Street and the upcoming Raymond-Poulidor sports complex, this creation reflects the grace and strength of Chabert’s distinctive approach to contemporary bronze wildlife sculpture.
