Description

The gorilla is an iconic figure in the animal world and undoubtedly one of my favourite great apes. I am drawn to its power and raw strength, but also to the quiet force it naturally conveys. Every sculpture marks a stage in an artist’s journey. Alpha is one of those defining works for me. This bronze gorilla sculpture confronted me with doubt, reflection and uncertainty, while helping me develop both my artistic vision and my practice as an animal bronze sculptor.
